Cheers to the fruits of your labor.
Received our grades today. My grades were a LOT higher than my advisory marks, and I was overjoyed to find out that my Math grade was a LOT higher than the F i got as an advisory grade for Math during the first sem.

Thank you Lord...
Thank you Queena Lee-Chua...
Thank you Nix...
Thank you Moco...

Thank you guys for bearing with my "stupid-ness/slow-ness" in Math. Thank you for your patience, your time, your effort...thank you for everything. :D You guys RAWK! Luv yah all! >:D<

***

Looking at my schedule for the second sem, I realized that I have to take my studies more seriously for the succeeding sems. That would mean less hanging out in the caf and complabs and more time in the library. After all, the Rizal Library IS supposed to be every Atenean's best friend. Gah. And we have Calculus every day. My schedule sure is a loaded one...

(I had typed a longer post but then I lost it after getting disconnected from the server. rar. And now I'm too lazy to blog...)

We need to talk.
Yep, grades are out tomorrow, and on Wednesday, we're gonna have our registration for the second semester.

Abby says that for the second sem, we're gonna be having math everyday. Boo hoo...let me cry in peace. I've never loved math. *sigh* Why can't I be good in math?!

Anyway, since regweek is coming up, I've been making some pros and cons on the various NatSci and PE classes to choose from. Let's start off with NatSci.

Natural Science classes:

1. Environmental Science --> chicken feet course. Unfortunately, I didn't take the course seriously. I know I could've done better, but I didn't. Oh, well. Anyway, I took this subject during the first sem so it's not one of my current options for NatSci this second sem.

2. Physics
->PROS: They say that next to ES, Physics is the easiest one. Macabebe's class is A-able as long as "bolahin mo lang siya" (accdng to dkuy:D).
->CONS: Math equations involved (urgh. you know how much I hate math), not to mention the fact that given my random number and the preference of the students to this course, there might not be any slots available by the time I register. Macabebe's the teacher--not Kendra =(

3. Chemistry
->PROS: I love Chem Lab back in third year HS (hello Ms. Antonio!) with all the exploding stuff and pretty colors and flames. ^^ You get to make Ice Cream, too for Chem Lab. Yum!
->CONS: I'm not a huge fan of memorizing C-H-O compound formula thingamagiggees. There's just too many formulas to memorize. People also wanna get this course subject, so I dunno if there's gonna be slots left. De Leoz is the teacher.

4. Botany
->PROS: It's kinda like ES--only more difficult (hey, is this a pro??). It's the easier Biology subject. Not much people will take it probably since they've all taken the ES, Physics and Chem slots. There's also LOTS of drawing involved. Weee...
->CONS: It's all about plants.

5. Zoology
->PROS: Kei and Charles will surely be in there.
->CONS: I hate dissecting animals. I pity them. I pity the poor duck Guido had to kill. I'm deathly afraid of blood and dissecting. This is also the hardest NatSci course, primarily because apart from the fact that there's a lot of reading involved, the professor's such a HUGE genius that he gives hard tests because he has high expectations for his students. There's also a lot of reading material, which I can't afford to have considering the reading workload my En and Lit teachers are giving me.

THE VERDICT: Anything but Zoology.
Oist Nix and MM!!! Same NatSci pa ba tayo??? Mukhang malabo eh. Come what may nalang...basta ganyan yung order of preference ko. Tingnan ko kung may slot ung iba...

PE Classes

1. Badminton
->PROS: I LOVE the adrenaline rush of the game. I like running around and playing this highly active sport. It reminds me of high school when I used to compete with my friends, 2 against 1 (and I RAWKED..haha:D)
->CONS: Where's this gonna be held? I don't wanna play under the heat of the sun!!! :o

2. Modern Jazz
->PROS: Dancing, shaded venue, electric fans everywhere, fun!
->CONS: Er...it's an all-girls club? (Is this a con?)

3. Arnis
->PROS: Martial Arts! Woohoo! Nuff said.
->CONS: Do I seriously like the idea of someone pounding me with a stick? Oh, and we need to have uniforms for Arnis...

4. Lecture
->PROS: I'll finally be done with this required course for AdMU students.
->CONS: Too much tests and stuff to read--it'll add to my reading burden from NatSci and English.

5. Running
->PROS: I LOVE running, especially in marathons. Running's also good for the heart ^u^
->CONS: Er..running equates to tiring?

6. Tennis
->PROS: Bea Pob's in there. Ingga's gonna lend me her racket.
->CONS: I have never ever played tennis in my entire life.

7. Judo
->PROS: Martial Arts! Woohoo!
->CONS: I may endanger someone's life, or worse, injure myself.

VERDICT:
I wish I could re-take Taekwondo. Taekwondo class was fun! Kev, Hilla, Margie, Pat, and the rest...I miss you guys! What're your PE's for the second sem?

New layout!
Er..yeah. I changed my layout again. Czari helped me with some ideas on the layout scheme.
It does look NEATER, doesn't it? And it's no longer blue. I'm staying away from the color blue for now. I think I got color-blinded by the bluish-ness of my last blog layout. To be honest, I got dizzy with my last blog layout. ^u^

Take the Rate My Life Quiz

Took this Rate My Life meme. Apparently, I have a lot of soul in me. My Spirit rating is higher than the average person, so they asked if I could share some thoughts/advice on how I manage to keep that aspect of life really high. haha :D But my love life sucks. Oh, well. My life needs to be balanced, right? XD And it doesn't really matter if I don't have an active love life at the moment. My good friends make up for a lousy love life. haha In short, they're so awesome and fun to hang out with that they don't make me think about my lack of a love life. haha ^^

Arty Kid
Whether you were a drama freak or an emo poet, you definitely were expressive and unique. You're probably a little less weird these days - but even more talented!

It's quite true. Back in high school, I did a lot of acting in plays, I was head of our inter-class art competitions, and I did write poetry during Chinese class. ^^ 'Til now, I'm still artsy...

NBA Season
Weee...I am SO looking forward to this year's NBA season. Last season was predictable (I kept telling Toby how the Spurs would win the championships but he didn't believe me). Hopefully, this year will be a blast, too! I really wish to see my two fave teams (SA Spurs and MI Heat) competing for the championship. Pardon my French, but SA seriously kicked Detroit's butt last season (harhar @ Mong and Bobby) and I'm hoping that they'd do the same thing for Miami (I love both teams but I'm more of a Spurs fan ^^) this season. haha :D I watched yesterday's SA match with the Nuggets, and the game seemed like a no-brainer--SA was gonna win. Tony Parker has definitely improved from last season--probably since he had a shooting coach or something. Nevertheless, the Spurs have proven in their last game that they are definitely NOT a team to mess around with, but then again, anything can happen. After all, it's only the start of the playoffs (premiere week). Whatever happens, I'll be rooting for SA all the way (hey, I rhyme! :P)!

Tony Parker doing his thing in the bball court. It was HIS game that night! ^^

P.S. Gelo, por que isa akong babaeng nanonood ng NBA at wala akong crush dun does not necessarily mean that I'm a tomboy. Is it a crime to love the adrenaline rush of the game?

Staring out at the rain with a heavy heart
It's the end of the world in my mind
Then your voice calls me back like a wake up call
I've been looking for the answer
Somewhere
I couldn't see that it was right there
But now I know what I really know

Because you live and breathe
Because you make me believe in myself when nobody else can help
Because you live, girl
My world has twice as many stars in the sky

It's alright, I survived, I'm alive again
Cuz of you, made it though every storm

What is life, what's the use if you're killed inside
I'm so glad I found an angel
Someone
Who was there when all my hopes fell
I wanna fly, looking in your eyes

Because you live there's a reason why
I carry on when I lose the fight
I want to give what you've given me always

Because you live and breathe
Because you make me believe in myself when nobody else can help
Because you live, girl
My world has everything I need to survive

Because you live, I live, I live

Don't worry...it'll grow back...
I had my hair cut over the weekend. I wanted my hair to be shoulder-length, but the person in the hair salon wanted to style my hair and "over-cut" it. Now my hair's short (ehrm..4-5 inches was chopped off) and it's short and it's short. The only consolation I have (I think) is that it's still curly. Damn. I wanted shoulder-length hair, not short hair. Now my hair looks like a dog knawed the ends or something...Boo.

Hopefully, it'll grow back in two weeks...

Went on a 12-hour shopping adventure at Rustan's Makati, Glorietta, Robinson's, and at the supermarket with my family last Sunday. Imagine all the stuff we bought for people this Christmas!

I'm not yet done with my Christmas shopping...

Officially Missing You
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder"
For me, this saying holds true
I wonder what you're up to right now
It's been quite sometime since I last saw you.

It's funny how you've long been gone
And I'm missing you so much
I miss your laughter, I miss your smile
I miss your voice, and I miss your touch.

I wish to see you once again
But right now there's nothing I can do
So for now, my friend, 'til we meet again
I'll be officially missing you.

Wrote that poem a couple of minutes ago. *sigh* I kinda miss everyone...

On the bright side of things, I get to bond with my family members more often.
I have lunch dates with my father...
PS2 matches with my brother...
And girl bonding-slash-pampering sessions with my mother and sister.

Weee...

I am gonna kick my brother's butt in our next PS2 match (which is in about one hour from now :D)

I still believe in ever after.

I know who you are. I love you.
I love everything about you that hurts.

I love you even when you're sick and look disgusting.

I'm a sucker for cheesy lines that make me swoon all over. Forgive the hopeless romantic in me, but I just can't help it. I guess eversince I was a little girl, I've always dreamt of living in a fairytale and living happily ever after. Maybe that's why I get easily "awww-ed" whenever I'd watch a film that had swoon-worthy lines. *sigh* Just so that you know, I still believe in ever after. God's just too busy writing my romance novel that'll sweep me off my feet. Someone out there's meant for me. I just know it. It may not be now. It may not be tomorrow. But one thing's for certain--there's definitely someone out there for me. ^^

EVER AFTER

Henry:  Do you really think there is only one perfect mate?
Leonardo da Vinci: As a matter of fact, I do.
Henry: Well then how can you be certain to find them? And if you do finally find them, are they really the one for you or do you only think they are? And what happens if the person you're supposed to be with never appears, or she does, but you're too distracted to notice?
Leonardo da Vinci: You learn to pay attention.
Henry: Then let's say God puts two people on Earth and they are lucky enough to find one another. But one of them gets hit by lightning. Well then what? Is that it? Or, perchance, you meet someone new and marry all over again. Is that the lady you're supposed to be with or was it the first? And if so, when the two of them were walking side by side were they both the one for you and you just happened to meet the first one first or was the second one supposed to be first? And is everything just chance or are some things meant to be?

(Well, I for one believe that in this world, two souls are destined to become one. In some twisted way, no matter how long it may take, God will find a way for them to meet, even in the most unlikely places or situations. Has anyone seen "Serendipity"? Loved it to bits! <33)

Henry: You swim alone, climb rocks, rescue servants, is there anything you don't do?
Danielle: FLY!

(I wanna fly, too!)

Danielle: It is not fair, sire. You have found my weakness, but I have yet to learn yours.
Henry: But I should think it was quite obvious.

(Why is it that guys tend to be more secretive about their lives and girls are usually the ones doing the talking? I do love it when a guy opens up to me. It makes me understand him even more. It proves to me that he is a human being capable of loving and of hurting...and I really appreciate that mere gesture of him sharing his emotions.)

Danielle: A bird may love a fish, signore, but where will they live?
Leonardo da Vinci: Then I shall have to make you wings.

(I got SUPER touched with this line. It's quite true. If you truly love someone, you have to make things happen. You can't just sit around and wait for God to make things happen for both of you. The slightest effort could go a long way.)

Compensation
To compensate my uber-long last blog entry, I've decided to keep this entry short and sweet. So what's the deal with me lately?

1. My braces were tightened and I can barely speak

I hate my braces. :P

What a Weekend!
I've had a crazy weekend--a total opposite of how my first week of sembreak had been.  It has been so crazy, I do not know where to begin! I bonded with old friends, went shopping and attended my friend's debut party.

*Patty M! Di ako na-bored sa weekend ko. Weee...and I promise to finish my loser project by the end of the week*

High School Memories

I met some of my High School buddies in this year's ICA fair, and bonded with some of them. I miss them soooo much. I haven't seen most of them for about 7 months, so imagine our excitement when we met up, bonded and caught up with the latest happenings about each other. Bonding with them made me reminisce on the good ol' ICA days--back when we had our REALLY crazy adventures inside and outside the school grounds. *sigh* You guys haven't changed a bit (and I'm still the crazy AL you've come to know and love back in high school). Amishyu! *hugz*
Eksmen!!! Miss ko na rin kayoooooo

Cesca and Me Me and Paw Angel and Me

Oh, and ICA Greenhills looks slightly different now. It's also been 7 months since I last stepped on ICA ground. The caf's all different, and they have ramps in the grade school area! Weee...

The ICA Fair

Ms. Jen Oliva and Me Jenny the Witchy White Lady (Diana) and Harry Potter look-alike (Steph) mwhahahaha
ICA Fair was still the usual ICA Fair...nothing much happening (though I did see Gab in the fair--hoy Gab! Ba't ka nandun?! hahaha). Most of the time I was hanging out with my former club mates and club moderator, hanging out for old times' sake (hey, after being a club member for the past 3 years and the club president for the past 2 years, how can I not possibly get attached to these people?! :D). I spent most of my time in the fair helping out in the club booth (my sister's this year's club president--talk about nepotism! haha:D). Shoutouts to my sister dear, Dom, Angela Chua, Danielle, Steph Te, Steph Yap, Di, Li, Pam, Kim, KimGo, Zhayne, and the rest ^^

Ms. Jen Oliva (an ICA and DLSU graduate) and I had a friendly AdMU-DLSU debate on the recent DLSU UAAP scandal. I was telling her that there was this rumor going around that MacMac Cardona was an "illegal" player and if the UAAP people have proof that Cardona was in fact, an "illegal" player, DLSU would then have to forfeit their 2003 Championship Title and would have to, consequently, turn in the title to AdMU. Weee...ahahaha :P Ms. Oliva then said, "Even though our championship titles may be forfeited, it's okay because deep in our hearts, we know that we are the true winners." Whatever. ahahaha :P Kidding...

My former teachers chatted with me, asking me where I was studying for college and what course--some even mentioned that they saw me on TV a few weeks ago. haha XD And then when I went around the bazaar, a girl from the Fyrinx batch (Ginger) who had a stall in the bazaar, struck a conversation with me when I was browsing through the merchandise she was selling.

Ginger: Are you an ICAn?
Me: Yeah, though I've graduated already. Ginger: Really? Why so early?
Me: Huh?
Ginger: Did you start schooling at a young age? When did you graduate?
Me: Huh? No. I just graduated last year.
Ginger: Ah, the Zephyrz batch?
Me: Yeah
Ginger: Ah, I thought kasi na na-accelerate ka or something cos you look so young pa eh

Weird, huh?

The fair was a so-so typical ICA Fair. I found it annoying that little kids were running around the fairgrounds, spraying cans of party foam whatchamacallits and wasting their parents' money by buying some more once they're done victimizing someone with those sprays. Argh!!! There were little particles flying everywhere. What was so annoying was that once those little particles landed on your hair, it seemed like there was dandruff on your head. Weh.

Kate's 18th @ Greenhills West Clubhouse

Me and Half of Kate Me and the birthday girl

Happy 18th Birthday KATE!!!
Akala ko pa naman na yung party mo nandun sa may fish baloons! whahaha :P joke!
Hope you have many many more birthdays to come! Amishyu! *hugz*

P.S. Masarap yung food. Wala lang :D

Christmas Shopping

I think I'm officially broke as of now. I went Christmas shopping last weekend--I bought gifts for my family and friends (no wonder I'm currently broke). Well, it's okay. At least I've started my Christmas shopping--and it's only October ^^

My brother is sooo cute. Here's how our conversation went:
Bro: Ate, is it okay if I just write you a poem as my Christmas gift to you?
Me: Sure, it's okay. As long as it comes from the heart, it's fine with me.
Bro: Kewl, but when you're gonna give me a Christmas present? Could you buy me a toy or something? Basta wag poem? Thanks! ^^

(Cute and annoying...that's what brothers are for..haha)
